PAUL DIETRICH

Paul Dietrich is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Fairfax Global Markets LLC (Fairfax). Paul Dietrich was previously the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Foxhall Capital Management Inc. from 1999 to 2012. Fairfax currently manages investments for private investors, pension funds, mutual funds and large private institutions throughout the United States. Paul Dietrich is also the investment advisor to two publicly traded mutual funds, the Fairfax Gold & Precious Metals Fund and the Fairfax Global Trends Fund. He is an international corporate attorney and was formerly associated with two Washington, DC law firms, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, and Jones Day. As an attorney, he has been an advisor on privatization and economic development issues to the World Bank, as well as several governments in Asia, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Before entering the practice of law, he served as Publisher and Editor in Chief of Saturday Review, one of the United States’ oldest cultural magazines. He also served for four years as an elected State Representative (Republican from St. Louis County) in the Missouri General Assembly. Mr. Dietrich has been a frequent commentator on CNBC, Fox Business News, CNN and Bloomberg TV. He has also been a frequent contributor to the editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the London Times, the International Herald Tribune,the Singapore Times and the South China Morning Post. From 1994 to 1997, he was editor of both the Reuters Emerging Markets Guide and the Reuters Asian Stock Sourcebook. He is also President of the Institute for International Health and Development (founded in 1982 by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, David Morse). He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, was a member of the National Advisory Board of Harvard University’s School of Public Health’s AIDS Institute and a member of the Advisory Group on International Health Systems Assessment of the New York Academy of Sciences. He has been a member of the Advisory Board of the John Templeton Foundation. He has also served as a member of the Development Committee of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and as a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Congressional Human Rights Foundation and the American-European Community Association. He is also the Editor of the award winning book, A Guide to American Foreign Policy (1982) and the author of the forthcoming book, Global Active Investing: How To Make Money In Both Bull & Bear Markets (2013)  

JAMES AUFFENBERG, JR.

  James (Jamie) Auffenberg, Jr. has 35 years experience in the automobile business. After receiving a B.S. from the University of Santa Clara and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, he began his career in the hospital management business. Two years later, he left to become involved in Auffenberg Ford with his father and Jamie is still active in that dealership. Jamie opened St. Clair Auto Mall in O’Fallon, Illinois in 1989. The current franchises in the Auto Mall are Auffenberg Mazda, Auffenberg Mitsubishi, Auffenberg Kia, Auffenberg Nissan and Auffenberg Volkswagen. Auffenberg Ford North, which is located on I-64 in O’Fallon, Illinois, is approximately ½ mile east of St. Clair Auto Mall. Auffenberg Hyundai, originally in the Auto Mall, has been relocated to another high traffic area near Auffenberg Ford North. Jamie is a past director and is a founder of the political action committee, Americans for Free International Trade (AFIT). He represents Illinois franchised new-car dealers on the National Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors. He is also a member of the Dealer Election Action Committee (DEAC) President’s Club, and is a past chairman of American International Automobile Dealer Association (AIADA) in Washington, D.C. He is the past chairman of the St. Louis Ford Dealers Advertising Fund, and past national vice-chairman of the Hyundai National Dealer Council. He is the past president of the St. Louis Zone Chrysler/Jeep Dealers Advertising Association. In addition to his auto-related activities, Jamie is a founding member of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois. He is also on the boards of McKendree College and United Way of Greater St. Louis, in addition to the St. Louis Regional Business Council which covers the 16 counties that comprise the St. Louis Metropolitan area. He was formerly on the boards of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Illinois, Belleville Economic Progress, Proud Partners of St. Clair County and the St. Louis Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
